May-June 2001 issue #16 AIDS Activist and survivor, Michelle Lopez, speaks candidly about living with AIDS, and being a lesbian mom to 14-year old Rondell and 11-year old Raven who is also infected. Also in this issue are parenting tips from two new books, For Lesbian Parents by Suzanne M. Johnson and Elizabeth O’Connor and The Queer Parent’s Primer by Stephanie Brill. September-October 2001 issue #18 This is our third annual gay-friendly private schools for kids issue featuring schools in New York City, Massachusetts, California, Washington, and Texas. Jody May-Chang, proprietor of PrideDepot.com tells us why she chose to move her family from Southern California to Boise, Idaho. Also featured is Wayne Steinman, former Gay and Lesbian Parents Coalition International president. Steinman and partner Sal Iacullo were the first gay couple to openly adopt in New York.

May-June 2002 issue #22 Georgia State Representative, Karla Drenner, the south's first and only openly gay state legislator is our cover story. She talks about her recent book, the homophobia she faces from colleagues, about her faith and her two children. Also in this issue is our second "Married With Children" and we revisit with a family in Louisiana.

Our cover family features Father Jay DiCotignano, pastor of Holy Innocents catholic church in Las Vegas, his husband Jayson and their two sons, Alexander and Danton. Father Jay and Jayson were the first gay couple to be licensed as foster parents in Nevada. Also in this issue a mother talks about her custody fight to retain her two sons from her former partner.
