John Lam rose from being a kid raised in the San Rafael, California projects to a principal dancer with the Boston Ballet. Along the way he met his husband–also named John–and they are raising two adorable sons.

In this issue Jay and Reggie Combs-Harris explain how they each had experiences of foster care and adoption in their childhoods. Knowing what a stable home can mean to a child, they became fost-adopt parents with the help of the organization, CONCERN.

Other family stories include Ramanu White and his fiancée Kay. The couple is raising 5-year-old Kayah and Kay is due to give birth to their second child this June. Ramanu talks about issues of feeling accepted and about living his life stealth as a transgender man.

Virginia mom Tabitha Hackney is in a custody battle with her ex wife. She talks about how living in a small town makes the fight more difficult.

Michael and Wes Johnson-Ellis reside in Britain and are raising two daughters. The couple is working to raise awareness to normalize same-sex parents and are advocating for changes to surrogacy in the UK.

Heather Sexton runs marathons and writes the blog, "Marathon Mom, Life, Adventure, Marriage and Motherhood Sprinkled with Rainbows." In this issue Sexton writes about being a late bloomer when she came out and that the key to surviving motherhood is figuring out how to deal with guilt and worry.

In this issue we’ve included a list of dates of some of the many Pride events happening across the country. 2019 is the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall uprising so look for special commemorative events this year including WorldPride in New York City.
