Wise School Partners with JQ International

for Gender Diversity Learning Series

Peaceful Setting and Security
When families set foot on the Wise School campus, they remark that it is the only elementary and preschool of its kind. At the entrance, a garden created as a gathering and meditation space features sweeping, arc-shaped benches lined with olive trees and stone.

Perched on top of Mulholland Drive, our beautiful grounds are securely located above the bustle of the city, and a central drive from every neighborhood in Los Angeles. We are a co-educational, Jewish Independent school serving families from all over, including the San Fernando Valley and the Westside. In addition, our school is well-known in Los Angeles for its robust and professional security team.

5-Star Gifted Award
Inside the peaceful campus is an enclave of buildings along with innovative outdoor spaces built to spark creativity and optimal learning. Wise School is the only Jewish Day School in California to be awarded the 5-Star Gifted Award by the California Association for the Gifted.  This means that across all subjects, students learn to think critically and ask profound questions.

Diversity and Inclusion
Diversity is an essential piece of experiencing wholeness, learning deeply, and being creative. One of the three core values of Stephen Wise Temple's mission is inclusivity, the idea that everyone should have a home in our community. In alignment with that, the theme for Wise School's 2019-20 school year is "Kulanu K'Echad" - Each Of Us As One.

LGBTQ+ - Friendly School
As we prepare our students to enjoy success and fulfillment as global citizens, we strive to build a community that exemplifies respect and appreciation for all people. That's why we have formed a partnership with leading LGBTQ+ organization, JQ International.

JQ works to transform Jewish communities and ensure inclusion of LGBTQ+ Jews and their allies through education, support, and identity-enrichment.

Wise School is fortunate to be home to a vibrant, international community with students who are children of first and second-generation immigrants from many countries, including Russia, Ukraine, Iran, China, and Korea. We welcome and value the voices of students, families, and staff who bring unique perspectives, and we are committed to reflecting diversity in race, ethnicity, gender, sexuality, language, nationality, family structure, and socioeconomic status.
